Give drivers up to 30 seconds of warning before they reach your crew. The HA-7 is the hard-wired V2X transponder behind HAAS Alert Safety Cloud®. The moment the vehicle's warning lights come on, the HA-7 pushes its live GPS position to Safety Cloud, which pushes digital alerts to approaching motorists through Waze, Apple Maps, and connected-vehicle infotainment systems, so traffic slows down and moves over before it is on top of the scene. With built-in LTE and GPS, a three-wire hookup, and no separate data plan, it drops into fire apparatus, police vehicles, tow trucks, DOT rigs, and utility fleets alike.

Key Features & Upfitter Specs

• Simple 3-Wire Install: Constant +12 V (red), ground (black), and a flashing-lights trigger (white) through the included M12 wiring harness. Fuse both power leads (0.5 A recommended). A fourth blue lead (Input-2) is reserved for a future auxiliary alerting input.
• Built-In LTE & GPS: Cellular connectivity and GPS are integrated with internal antennas, and there is no external data plan to manage. Dash-mount near the windshield with the top of the unit facing the sky.
• Parasitic Draw Protection: Draws only a few hundred milliamps and automatically sleeps at roughly 12.0 V, waking again once the battery recovers to 12.2 V so it never strands a vehicle or apparatus.
• Status at a Glance: Four LEDs show GPS, LTE, Input-1, and Input-2 state (standby, active/responding, on-scene, error). A single side button toggles location reporting off for 60 minutes, silences the LEDs, resets the device, or switches to external-antenna mode.
• R2R Ready: A dedicated M12 R2R port drives the optional Responder-to-Responder LED Indicator Kit for in-cab collision warnings between responding units.
• Over-the-Air Updates: Firmware updates arrive through Safety Cloud with no shop visit required.
• External Antenna Option: For apparatus without clear sky view from the dash, add the HA-7 Shark Fin or Puck external LTE/GPS antenna (sold separately).

What You Need to Know

• Subscription Required: The HA-7 is a one-time hardware purchase. It connects to a HAAS Alert Safety Cloud Service subscription (1, 3, or 5 year), which is invoiced upon activation.
• Placement: Mount flat or slightly angled on the dash, clear of airbags, with the top facing up. Never install the HA-7 upside down.
• Wiring Standards: Solder-and-heat-shrink or crimped connections tied to a home-run ground buss are recommended; T-taps and Scotch-Locks are not.
