Responder-to-Responder (R2R™) alerting puts a warning inside the cab when two Safety Cloud®-equipped vehicles are on a collision course. The kit's compact red LED indicators flash whenever Safety Cloud detects a potential intersection or crossing-path conflict with another responding unit, giving both drivers a heads-up before they see each other. It plugs straight into the R2R port on the HA-7 transponder and mounts on the A-pillars of fire apparatus or the dash of an SUV using the included swivel bracket kits.

Key Features & Upfitter Specs

• Two-LED Kit (P/N H20010): Includes 2 LED indicator devices, 1 M12-to-RJ45 splitter cable, 2 × 10 ft Ethernet cables, and 2 indicator mounting bracket kits.
• Plug-and-Play Wiring: The splitter's M12 connector threads onto the port labeled "R2R" on the side of the HA-7. Each indicator connects with a standard RJ45 Ethernet run, so there is no additional power or ground to source.
• Smart Alerting Logic: Red LEDs flash only on potential collisions detected by Safety Cloud. Vehicles running parallel or platooning together are excluded to prevent nuisance alerts.
• Flexible Mounting: Screw-in swivel mount, adjustable tightening clamp, and your choice of screw-in or adhesive base on each bracket. Indicators can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
• Placement Guidance: Larger vehicles (fire apparatus) mount one indicator at or slightly above eye level on each A-pillar; smaller vehicles (SUV) mount one or both on the dash in the driver's line of sight. Never mount indicators near or within range of airbags.
• Function Test Built In: Hold the HA-7 side button for 5 seconds to reset the transponder and trigger the indicators to flash, confirming the install before the vehicle leaves the bay.

What You Need to Know

• Requires an HA-7: The indicator kit connects to the HAAS Alert HA-7 transponder (or a compatible device) via the supplied cable.
• R2R Service Subscription: Responder-to-Responder alerting is enabled by the HAAS Alert R2R Service (1, 3, or 5 year), which is invoiced upon activation.
