Get the same ultra-compact, ruggedized ION footprint with a signal that reaches far off-axis. The Whelen ION Wide Angle Series Super-LED Lighthead swaps the directional TIR optic for a wide-angle lens that spreads the warning pattern across the sides of the vehicle, so approaching traffic sees you at intersections, on the shoulder, and from the corners of a scene long before they are head-on. It is the go-to choice for side and corner positions on patrol SUVs, pickups, and commercial fleet vehicles, and it mounts anywhere the standard ION does, thanks to the same universal mount hardware or an optional surface mount flange.

- Wide-Angle Super-LED Optics: Purpose-built optics throw the SAE Class 1 warning signal across a broad horizontal spread, making the Wide Angle ideal for side-facing, wheel-well, and corner positions where a directional TIR beam would miss oncoming traffic.
- Same Compact ION Footprint: The universal mount measures just 4.1" x 1" x 1.3", and the surface mount 5.9" x 1.7" x 1.1", so the Wide Angle drops into any existing ION location, bracket, or cutout.
- Extreme Durability: Die-cast aluminum housing with a hard-coated lens and fully potted, conformal-coated electronics, backed by Whelen's 10-year warranty. Pressure washers, winter salt, and road vibration are non-issues.
- Scan-Lock Patterns & Sync: 33 Scan-Lock flash patterns with steady-burn and synchronization, so every Wide Angle on the vehicle flashes in step with the rest of your ION and lightbar array.
- Two Mounting Styles: Universal mount models include the combination pedestal, clip, edge, and adhesive hardware plus a 4-wire pigtail; surface mount models add an integrated black flange that screws directly onto flat body panels, push bumpers, and headache racks.
- Single or Split Color: Choose Amber, Blue, Red, or White, or a split-color lens (Red/White, Amber/White, Red/Blue, or Blue/Amber) with a clear or stealth smoked lens.
