Standard steel hoppers rust out within a few seasons, and cheap auger systems constantly jam on wet, chunky rock salt, forcing drivers into the freezing cold to clear the blockage. The Tornado engineers these failures out of the equation. Featuring a massive, double-walled polyethylene hopper, it is completely immune to saltwater rot. The delivery system utilizes a massive 15.5-inch wide pintle chain conveyor driven by dual electric motors, guaranteeing relentless, consistent material flow regardless of how wet or frozen the salt becomes.

- Double-Walled Poly Hopper: The massive one-piece polyethylene hopper is completely immune to corrosion, significantly outlasting traditional steel hoppers while heavily reducing the overall payload weight on the truck.
- Pintle Chain Delivery: Utilizes a heavy-duty 15.5-inch wide pintle chain conveyor (housed in stainless steel) that aggressively pulls material to the spinner, completely eliminating the "bridging" common in V-box spreaders.
- Dual Electric Motors: Features two independent, weather-sealed 12V electric motors that allow the operator to independently control the speed of the conveyor chain and the spinner from inside the cab.
- Adjustable Drop Chute: The entire spinner assembly and drop chute can be easily adjusted for height (accommodating both pickup beds and flatbeds) and can be removed without tools for bulk unloading.
- FleetFlex Technology: The advanced electrical architecture allows for true fleet interchangeability; a single truck can operate any Western electric hopper or tailgate spreader without changing the cab wiring.
